What I am into this month- January 2012

This Month...

On My Nightstand: Pinhook by Janisse Ray hoping this will help get me through some of the cold NC winter days.  Dreaming of Florida between Jan. 1st and April 1st.

Want To Read:

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Still haven't taken a chance to read this yet.  I read through some other books last month and put this one on the back burner.

Movie I’ve Seen (In or Out of a theater):The last movie we watched was something Steven checked out of the library. I don't remember- some superhero/comic book thing.

TV Show Worth Watching: Still catching episodes of the Tudors when we can on Netflix.

In My Ears:
My radio in my car is fixed!  Not only do I have a new radio, but one I can hook the ipod and my phone too.  Last new album I was loving that is new to me is Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.  Definitely not new- just to me.
In my kitchen:
Some homemade breads are on my to-do list this month.  I am hoping to make some and freeze it so it will be ready to go when needed.  Hmmmm, with all the pumpkin I still have I may have to look at getting a stand alone freezer!  Any good bread recipes- I would love to hear about them!
On the let's make it, to-do list for January:
Valentine's Day crafts are on the list.  I know I am planning to make a garland for the mantel.
I also plan to work on my cold frame.  The plexi busted in it last year, and I haven't fixed it yet.  Just so happens the plastic ripped on the shower curtain, so it will have a second life as the roof of my cold frame.  A little behind, but maybe I can get some lettuce going. . .
There are grandparent birthdays coming up in February, so we may be getting something ready for those too.

What I'm Most Looking Forward To in January:
  1. Start of the new year.
  2. Snow (fingers crossed)
  3. Celebrating my hubby's birthday
  4. Taking care of myself
  5. My new look- thank you Dawn at Achique Studio!
  6. The eco-resolution challenge!
