homemade salt play dough

Toddlers love sensory learning!  Play dough is a great way to let toddlers explore and play.  Here is a simple salt dough recipe to make at home.

ingredients:
1 cup of flour
1/4 cup of salt
1 tablespoon of oil
6 to 7 tablespoons of oil
tempera paint or food coloring

Mix salt and flour

mix coloring and water, then add oil

Mix together

Should become dough like.  Add more flour if it is not stiff enough to work with.

Play!  We got out the rolling pin, and cookie cutters. . .

But hand prints seemed to be the biggest hit. . .

Until he though of stepping on it too!

Save in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
